CUAN STAUGH

BY ALAN PORTWAY

I live in Bexleyheath, which is on the outskirts of London, England. My first course was Blue Lakes published at Links Corner in August 2002 and this was followed by Lagoon Links. In May 2004 Greendale was released which was my first course to reach a satisfactory level of technical competence. Greendale was a fictional course of a parkland style with an appropriate rolling hills panorama. In June 2005 Mountain Pass was released. This was a mountain style course with a rolling hills landscape set against the whistler panorama.

Cuan Staugh is my latest course and has been developed based on the Oceanside base coastline course from Mike Jones xpack. Clearly a Links course then but as is my style there are still a lot of rolling hills particularly those set back from the sea. In accordance with requirements the course has been locked. I wanted the course to have a Gaelic name and I believe that Cuan Staugh means Ocean Wave which seems appropriate. Cuan Staugh includes a logo, splash screens and hole previews. There are two double greens on the course and for the purposes of clarity I have decided to retain the original links flags.

I hope you enjoy playing it.

I carried out the final testing with the 1.06 mod.
